bronwyn

Bronwyn is a wonderful fall/winter ensemble. The majority of the colors are grays and black, which echo the stone donut centerpiece, but the brown and amber beads here and there add a touch of warmth. I started the necklace by doing the fringe on the donut first, and then branched into the neckpiece. The neckpiece features a variety of beaded beads (which are simply large beads made from smaller beads), each one embellished with more beads to add texture. I made the earrings to echo the fringe on the donut. The earwires are handmade from sterling silver wire.

Made with size 11 seed beads in matte silver and black, three cuts in black, a stone donut, size 8 seed beads in matte silver and matte silvery-brown, silver leaf beads, pyrite beads, hematite beads, Czech fire-polished beads, assorted glass beads, copper wire, and sterling silver wire.

Techniques include flat and tubular peyote stitch, fringe, embellishment, and wirework.

The necklace measures 30" long - this does not include the centerpiece. The centerpiece is 6&1/2" long. The donut is 1&6/8" long and 1/4" thick. The beaded beads in the neckpiece range from 1&5/8" long to 2&3/4" long. The other beads in the neckpiece range in size from 4mm to 13mm. The earrings are 2&1/2" long.
