pierette

Pierette is a wirework bracelet I made to practice some new wireworking techniques that I learned from an article by Donna Fuchs in the June/July 2006 issue of Beadwork magazine. It's a little different from my normal style, but it was fun to make. Each wire charm was shaped by hand, and also the "spring links" that form the bracelet and the s-clasp were shaped by hand also. I incorporated the stone to add a little color and warmth. Once the bracelet was assembled I dipped it into liver of sulfur to antique it, and then polished it by hand.
I used sterling silver wire in 16 and 18 gauge, sterling silver jump rings, and red jasper beads.
